At 2 you'll almost never exceed your refresh rate and at 3 it would somewhere between never and exceedingly rare. If you capped your framerate at 120 you would be frequently exceeding the framerate and turning G-sync off. WebGsync ON and Vsync ON at 30-143fps = no tearing and low input lag. Gsync ON and Vsync ON at 144fps = no tearing and high input lag due to Vsync taking over, fps is locked at max refresh by Vsync. Gsync ON and Vsync OFF at 130-143fps = some tearing caused by scanout with no additional input lag.
